Over the last 18 months, many companies have come forward to vocally support the effort to hire Veterans and Wounded Warriors. Some have made a financial investment and taken other actions towards employing Veterans. They are to be commended and my sincere hope is that these efforts are successful.

In spite of this support, however, Veteran unemployment remains higher than is acceptable. One contributing factor I have written about is the experience gap that prevents many internal recruiters from effectively pursuing Veteran candidates. In 2012, The Buller Group invested in developing a solution to this very real problem, and launched the Certified Veteran Recruiter (CVR) Program. The CVR Program has gained national attention from industry, government, the DoD and even the US Senate. The sole purpose of the Program is to arm civilian recruiting professionals with the tools and skills needed to aggressively source and hire Veterans.
