Responding to your questions about CVR - part 2

As promised - here is part two of my response to your questions about the Certified Veteran Recruiter Program and Professional Credential CVR. I posted Part 1 on Sunday. As I may have said then, I am dubbing this Operation: Takes A Village. We've got to work together, folks, to fix the veteran unemployment situation.

Feel free to contact me directly with questions. We are about to announce the August class date, which is already partially filled as a result of last week's announcement. Please pass this info to anyone who might benefit from the information.

How will it help you?
The CVR training program addresses the most commonly reported needs, based on surveys of recruiting professionals:
> Evaluating & leveraging Veteran sourcing channels
> Quickly & effectively translating military resumes
> Drawing out relevant experience in interviews
> Overcoming hiring manager resistance
> Recruiting for retention
> Assessing cultural fit & shaping expectations

The CVR Program’s Certificate of Completion bears the official seal of the HRCI, and awards 15 credits toward PHR & SPHR recertification. The CVR professional credential communicates a true commitment to hiring veterans because it enables internal recruiters to get it done. Right now, many companies state this commitment but few train their recruiters to actually do it. CVR status tells job candidates and federal government clients that your company is serious about hiring veterans.
